What are hot classes and what are the benefits?

What are hot classes – and what are they great for?

Hot classes are workouts performed in a heated room with elevated humidity. The combination of warmth and moisture creates a more intense and immersive environment, allowing your body to warm up faster and respond differently to movement. At Aura Lab hot classes the temperature is usually about 26°C and 70% humidity.

The room is intentionally heated to:

  • Warm up muscles faster

  • Increase flexibility

  • Elevate heart rate

  • Promote sweating and circulation

What Are Hot Classes Great For?

1. Deep Muscle Activation

Heat allows muscles to lengthen and activate more effectively. In Hot Pilates or Sculpt classes, slow and controlled movements become incredibly powerful for toning and strengthening – especially core, glutes, and stabilizing muscles.

  1. Flexibility & Mobility

Warm muscles stretch more safely and comfortably. Many people notice faster progress in mobility when practicing in a heated space.

Great for:

  • Tight hips and hamstrings

  • Recovery from strength training

  • Reducing stiffness

  1. Cardiovascular Boost

Even low-impact exercises feel more intense because your heart rate naturally rises in the heat. It creates a cardio effect without jumping or heavy impact.

Great for:

  • Improving endurance

  • Burning calories

  • Low-impact cardio lovers

  1. Mental Reset

There’s something powerful about sweating it out. The heat forces you to focus on breath, stay present, and push through mental resistance. Many people leave feeling lighter – physically and emotionally.

Great for:

  • Stress relief

  • Mental clarity

  • Sleep quality

Is It for Everyone?

Hot classes are generally safe for healthy individuals, but hydration is key. If you’re pregnant, sensitive to heat, or have cardiovascular concerns, consult a healthcare professional first.

Final Thought

Hot classes aren’t just about sweating more – they’re about moving deeper, focusing sharper, and building both physical and mental strength in a new way. If you enjoy mindful yet powerful workouts, a heated class might be exactly what your body and mind needs.
